I've spent most of the morning tracking down contact information for a list of 15 people. Most of it went fairly well, but I really hate it when I get a name that's misspelled and have to start trying variations of it ("Louis Lanberg" is very much not the same thing as "Lewis Landsberg", and it took me about fifteen minutes to find him. I'm still not sure he's the right one).
Oh well. Good trombone lesson last night, once I finally drove it through my head that the B-flat blues scale has a D-flat in it instead of a D. At some point I really have to sit down and learn to read bass clef properly, because right now I'm not reading it at all. I'm going by slide position for any given note instead of by note name, and that's not how it's supposed to work.
I seem to be on a brain candy kick, reading-wise. I do that every once in a while. It usually ends up enlarging my collection of children's books eventually, but I haven't got that far yet.
Does anybody have a furniture dolly and a strong upper body I can borrow for about an hour sometime this weekend? I need to move my refrigerator so as to plug in my microwave, and put steel wool in whatever hole the mice are coming in by.
