If it goes splat, it must be Monday...
Apr. 16th, 2007 11:11 amI am going to NEFFA on Saturday. I haven't been in several years and I'm overdue. So there.
Today started off on the wrong foot, almost literally. I had somehow failed to absorb the fact that the buses are running on a weekend schedule even though the entire rest of the T is running on a normal schedule, and thought I'd take the bus this morning so as to keep dry(ish). So after half an hour and no bus, I walked to work anyway and got there ten minutes late and fairly soggy.
So then I get working and get snarked at by email by one of the SOP members, who wants to know why he can't have the meeting materials earlier than tomorrow. Although I was tempted, I did not write back and tell him that a) the case he's reviewing only got approved by the CAD on Wednesday night, and it took me Thursday to get the packet together and reviewed, and it went to the copier on Friday, b) the April SOP meeting is next Tuesday, so if he gets the materials tomorrow, he's going to get the packet a week in advance anyway, c) he only has to write a 2-page report, so quit whining at me, and d) we're only dealing with 70 promotions and training some new staff over here, so we're a little busy.
At least I'm not out running the marathon in the rain, like my cousin C.
