weekend

I wanted to be home a lot this weekend. For the previous three weekends, I'd been elsewhere for at least most of a day. On Saturday I accomplished exactly two useful things: I cashed in my change collection to the tune of $67, and indulged in saag paneer for dinner. I can make it myself, but the Indian place at the Super 88 food court does it better than I do, and I was down there anyway because the change-cashing machine is at Shaw's.

Yesterday was cleaning fit day, since the weather wasn't fit for anything else. I reshelved all the books that got put in random places over the last month or so, and decluttered all the horizontal surfaces, and did four and a half loads of laundry, and vacuumed the bedroom rug, and cleaned the bathroom, and provided a lap for Lily to sleep on since I disassembled the bed in order to wash the sheets. Lily still Does Not Like the vacuum cleaner. It took her an hour to get over being nervous, although she did come out from behind the living room bookshelf pretty expediently.

I need to get a working wireless router somehow, so as to get the computer out of the living room, so as to get Lily to quit trying to walk over the keyboard. She stepped on the Number Lock button, which on the Moose is a teeny little thing, and it took me about ten minutes to figure that out.

I hope I can survive this week. Today we have three committee meetings, and if I have to sort out all of these financial guarantee letters by the end of the week, I'm going to be fairly put out. The problems with them have nothing to do with me, but I'm the one who gets asked about them.

And I haven't finished buying presents yet. Thank goodness for Amazon.
