The rug is here, and beautiful and soft and comfy...and torn up the middle. It met something sharp while it was rolled up, and whatever it was tore right through the rug and broke the cardboard tube the rug was rolled around besides. Getting the damn thing delivered was such a pain that I don't even particularly want to try to return it, but I really should, because I didn't pay several hundred dollars for a damaged rug.

Drat.

[ETA: I have settled, after being on the phone with a highly apologetic customer service agent, for a $100 refund. After all, I do like the rug, and 'tis the season not to be grumpy about things that aren't the customer service agent's fault.]
