in which I keep myself occupied
Jan. 5th, 2008 08:29 pmI finally got around to making lemon risotto, which came out quite well, particularly since I'd never made risotto before. Next time I shouldn't go quite so overboard with the dried lemon peel, because I think it's got more pith in it than strictly necessary.
Today I also accomplished laundry and a lot of other running around, and started thinking about furniture. Eventually (meaning sometime in the next year or so), I'd like to have at least one room containing a set of furniture that matches, and I think it's going to be the living room.
The bicycle is going to live in the office, but I've got to empty the room so I can put the rug down. That's on tomorrow's list, along with more cooking and various other domestic pursuits. Speaking of pursuits, I now apparently need to teach Lily not to chew on the computer power cord. And speaking of computer, I still can't get the router working, and I have no idea what to do about that now.
