trying to conquer Troy, singlehanded

I am not best pleased with most of the members of the Subcommittee of Professors right at this instant minute. They seem not to realize that lack of response on their part does in fact constitute an emergency on mine. If they turn down requests, that's fine; I can go on to the next name on the list. But if they just plain don't tell me anything, it creates a lot more work.

I really wish we could stop being understaffed sooner rather than later. It's starting to be not much fun at all.

On the other hand, the weather is starting to be springlike, and I get paid on Friday, and after tomorrow the SOP packets will be sent out. And after next Tuesday, the April SOP meeting will be over with. It's the second of three monster meetings in a row, so after the May meeting, things might be slightly less insane.
