thoughts thought yesterday
Sep. 12th, 2008 02:22 pmOK, I give up. I can't find another name that fits my new cat better than Snip, so Snip it is. (She has discovered puffballs. As soon as I can figure out the movie setting on my camera, I'll have to record her running around with her mouth full of puffball, hollering at the top of her little lungs because she caught something and she wants me to admire her. It's extremely cute.)
Yesterday's observation: it's marvelous that you can get heirloom tomatoes from any given farmer's market these days, but it's hard to tell what color some of them are supposed to be when they're ripe. Especially when they're grouped by color. Is a light yellow one less ripe than a very yellow one, or are they two different kinds? And do the pink ones with green stripes still have green stripes when they're ripe?
