only Wednesday?

I think I may have to celebrate the end of this week with two or three stiff drinks. Between the feline drama and the fact that it's supposed to be SOP Packet Day today, I think I deserve at least that much.

(Besides, I might as well celebrate a little before I go back to living on ramen noodles so as to pay off the credit card, on which went the feline drama.)

minor and major miracles

Snip is home, and extremely loopy. On top of the fact that she has to wear a lampshade for the next 10 days and can't use her whiskers to tell where her head is, she's on pain medication that makes her not quite sure which feet have to go where. She seems to have better luck going backward, and a cat wearing a lampshade and going in circles, backward, would be very funny if it wasn't so out of character. At least she can eat while wearing the lampshade. I've seen her doing it.

They did give me the needle (I was wondering if I'd get it back). I'm debating how I should commemorate the only $2500 embroidery needle I've ever seen.

As for the rest of the day, the September SOP is one of those meetings that's going to be a solid string of fires needing to be put out until 30 seconds before the meeting starts. I don't understand how I managed to send out the packets today when I didn't have more than half of the last packet back from being reviewed (never mind copied, stapled, collated, etc.) until 2:00.
