I have a rant about the annual leadership course for junior faculty, which is most definitely not my show but has caused me not to get home before 6:30 since last Thursday, but I won't get into it. All I'll say is I wish I had taken this week off. Mind you, I wouldn't have gotten it had I asked for it, because this is supposed to be post-SOP paperwork week. People get very prickly when they get told they've been promoted, and go look themselves up in the online directory, and they aren't listed as Professors yet.

This is, so far, the longest week in the history of weeks. And it's only Tuesday. ARGH.
