thoughts thought on a Thursday
Jul. 15th, 2010 12:57 pmFedEx tracking sites are a mixed blessing. I know that my watch isn't supposed to be delivered until Saturday, and I know that today is only Thursday, but I also know that the watch left from Colorado yesterday morning and it hasn't been heard from since. What fun is tracking it if there isn't any new information to track?
Theoretically, I should come home tonight and find new storm windows. However, houses being what they are, it wouldn't surprise me if they don't get entirely done today. (I'll take any new storm windows I can get, though; the old ones are the type which, if you don't line up tab A with slot B just right, the glass comes flying down any old time it wants to and guillotines your fingers. And good luck getting both of tab A unstuck in the spring so you can get the glass to go up in the first place. And they leak cold air all winter, too.)
Next week I have three and a half hours of meetings related to P&R. Hopefully that means that next week I can officially give up all the senior promotions meetings. (Wishful thinking on my part, there, but it will have to happen eventually, whether anybody else likes it or not.)
