Wednesday...no, strike that...

I must be on vacation, because I was pleasantly surprised to learn that today isn't Wednesday. Not that I'm going to get anything useful done today anyway, but at least I have another day to potentially get useful things done. (Such as, for instance, sharpening knives. I should've cut myself the other day while doing something stupid with a knife, and the only reason I didn't was because it was a very dull knife.)

Now I know what they mean by "heart attack snow", and I don't like it either. I hurt in all sorts of places after shoveling heavy wet snow for almost two hours yesterday.

I hurt all over, and the knee that was grumbling at me this morning is roaring at me now. It did not like wading through unshoveled sidewalks and sluck puddles this afternoon.

BUT, there will be beef stew and corn muffins for dinner tomorrow, because I went out grocery shopping. At the time, my beef stew craving was yelling louder than my knee.

And I did get all the knives sharpened. Well, sort of. They need professional help, but they'll do for now.
