Book #5: Gates of Fire

I'm having a terrible time coming up with anything I feel like making for lunch this week. What I really want is pizza, but I want that for dinner tonight. (There's nothing wrong with cold pizza for lunch, but it won't last through the week.)

Speaking of food, the House of Meat or whatever it's called in Coolidge Corner doesn't play fair. The Staples next door to it smelled like bacon, so of course I had to go to the House of Meat and find out why. Free samples of bacon, that's why. The guy cooking the bacon was highly amused when I walked up and said "So it's your fault, is it?" and then explained what I meant.

I bought a new shirt the other day and I can't decide whether the neckline is too low to be acceptable for work. It's an insanely comfy shirt and I want to go buy more, but the object of the game is to acquire work clothes. I already have a genteel sufficiency of shirts I can only wear on weekends or under sweaters. I suppose the easy way to find out is to wear the shirt in question to work and bring another one to change into if necessary. If unnecessary, I'll go buy more shirts.

Well, that was random. My mother just emailed asking if I had a recipe for frogs' legs. I don't, but now I really want to know why she wants one.
