Book #14: The Devil in the White City
I had two things on the Must Do It list this weekend, and did both yesterday. Given that last week was a very long week, two things was about all I was up for.
The Must Do It list did not include the obtaining of beer, so I didn't get that done. I meant to go to the Washington Square Tavern on Friday, but was too tired. I meant to go yesterday, but inertia set in after I got home from killing the Must Do It list. I meant to go tonight, but I had just been cooking next week's lunch and didn't want to think about more food. (Especially since next week's lunch is chicken and vegetable curry. It's hard to think about any other sort of food when all you can smell is curry and garlic.)
Besides reading books 13 and 14 and killing the Must Do It list, I got two loads of laundry done, and spent the morning yesterday and today providing lap space for insecure Hairy Beasts. They didn't see much of me last week and were starting to be furry little limpets. Things are better now; they're both asleep in the kitchen.
I have really got to remember to buy lightbulbs. I've been not remembering that for three weeks.
