Book #17: I Shall Wear Midnight
Book #18: Full Moon (Wodehouse, NOT Twilight!)

Today I really wanted it to be a different day. A sunny day would've been nice. I could even have put up with the snow if today hadn't been the day before a Work Week of Epic Proportions. However, since it was the day it was, I was completely disinclined to shovel any snow. And then Mario and his snowblower dispatched all the sidewalk snow for me, so now I feel guilty about not doing anything else (driveway, front porch, back door...).

On top of which, the presence of a $509 fuel bill this month and the absence of my federal tax refund so far means I am not going to Portland in April. I'm still bloody well taking a week off, but I'm probably spending it here. Which was not what I wanted.

My left hip has started to complain, more or less in the same way my right hip was complaining before I found The Knot. In fact, everything from my navel down feels sort of off kilter. I think, since the retreat on Friday is in Cambridge ending at 1:00 and the OFA Winter Family Outing is on Friday in Davis Square starting at 4:00, I'm going to see about getting a massage in between the two events. (That won't help me afford a trip to Portland either, but it'll be good for the mental health.)

All that aside, yesterday I got a lot of things done, and started with going out for breakfast. I didn't know I was going out for breakfast when I left the house, so I guess spontaneity is not dead. And the sun was out yesterday, too.
