(no subject)

Today is Lily's fifth birthday, which means I've been back in Brighton for four years now. Today I finally consigned the enormous box I had transported my featherbed in to the recycling. The space the box had been occupying is now occupied by the bag with my snowshoes in it, and I can now get at the entire front of the big bookshelf in my office. This makes me happier than it probably ought to.

However, since today is P&R day, and this set of P&R meetings is being difficult, it's nice to have something, no matter how trivial, to be happy about.

Maybe next week I'll do something about the box with the dead inkjet printer in it.
