Nov. 16th, 2011 01:17 pmI spent the long weekend hemorrhaging money.
Friday: took the cats to the vet. $260 for rabies shots for both and eye drops for Lily, who has pinkeye. Then took the embroidery to be framed, and let them talk me into spending $380 on that (linen mat, fillet, frame, and glass). Then had to go grocery shopping and spent $40.
Saturday: voice lesson, which I prepay for, and $60 haircut. I really needed the haircut, but this was the wrong weekend for it.
Sunday: Long overdue sushi extravaganza, and semiannual overindulgence in vegetables, etc. at Wilson Farm ($120).
I am now finding things in need of replacement every time I turn around. None of them are hugely expensive, but put them all together and they add up. I don't think I can stand any more adding up this month.
Unrelated to money: Yesterday being P&R day, I was on the early bus. As it turned out, I was on the early bus with three (female) housemates who spent twenty minutes discussing which of their six or seven other housemates could have left the flavored condoms on the kitchen table, and why anybody would do that to begin with. I would probably have thought it was funny if it hadn't been so early in the morning.
