dchenes: (katana)
Every three months or so, the bus schedule gets updated, although the only thing that changes for the 65 bus is they swap all the drivers around. The current driver on my morning bus is a woman who's very friendly until the bus gets about half full, and then she starts yelling "MOVE IN!" at every single stop. I guess that explains the dream I had last night, which involved a bus driver who wouldn't go more than about five miles an hour and would kick you off the bus if you didn't do what he wanted. For some reason he was driving around Noank, and I forget where I was trying to get to, but he kicked me off at Church St because I wouldn't move to the absolute back of the bus even though half of the seats were empty. I woke up at that point and thought "Well, that was unpleasant" and went back to sleep, and there he was again. Somehow I had gotten back on the bus at Front St and he kicked me off again because he didn't want to go any further.

I keep forgetting I don't have to go to work on Monday, mostly because I'm dreading going to the dentist on Thursday. I know why I get the flossing lecture, but it never seems to occur to anybody but me that my gums also bleed when jabbed with a pointy metal instrument. I can't think of anywhere else on my person that wouldn't start bleeding if jabbed with a pointy metal instrument, but when my gums do, That's Bad. Sigh. I guess I should just go and get it over with for another six or seven months.

Speaking of getting things over with, the (mutter grumble) health insurance form arrived yesterday, so now all I need is my W2 form and I can take "do taxes" off the list. That's another one of those "get it over with" things, but not so much because it's moderately unpleasant as because I can then stop remembering that I haven't done it yet.
