Jan. 24th, 2013 11:17 amWe had a new bus driver this morning. I wonder if people started complaining about the other one?
I get to leave work early today...to go to the dentist. I still have to figure out how to get from work to Cambridge in under an hour. I think the answer is "take a cab", but I feel like it's sort of adding insult to injury to spend money on cab fare to get to the flossing lecture.
I don't WANNA go to the dentist, which is silly, because the flossing lecture is the worst thing that happens to me when I go there. I've never had any truly unpleasant experience at a dental appointment; I have iron teeth, so I've never had a cavity. But for some reason I dread the flossing lecture enough to start wondering, every time I get the reminder card in the mail, whether I can get away with canceling the appointment or whether that will just make the next lecture worse. So I always go and get lectured at, and make another appointment afterward, and start dreading that one when I get the reminder card in the mail. Sometimes being a responsible adult isn't all that much fun, but at least I don't have to worry about anybody else's dentistry. (Two years ago, my vet wanted me to start brushing Lily's teeth. I elected not to. I don't get lectures from him about that.)
