I've decided that in situations such as this, "snow" should be a countable thing, and therefore eligible for a plural form. The plural form of "snow" should be "sneaux". Which is what we've got. We've got so many sneaux that the only outlets to the street are driveways. When I get to a corner, I end up going back to the nearest driveway and walking in the street until the next driveway. Most of the two-way side streets are now one-way, besides. Union St. is maybe a foot wider than the fire trucks.

Regardless of how many sneaux we've got, I've got P&R tomorrow morning. I'm trying to be positive, so I'll say that at least it wasn't today. Today I got off the bus at Brookline Ave and walked the rest of the way, because the traffic certainly wasn't going anywhere. Maybe by 6:20 tomorrow morning, the commute will be a little better. (I know, but I can dream, can't I?) There are only three weeks between the February and March meetings, which means there will only be one meeting in March, thank goodness. And at the end of the March P&R meeting week, I get on an airplane and go on a New Adventure.

Apparently a lot of the hotels in Dublin are booked for the time I want to be there, but I found one. And since I decided to go to Galway for a couple of days, I only booked the Dublin hotel for two nights. Therefore, if I hate it, I can go find a hotel somewhere else in Dublin after I come back from Galway. That's the plan, at least. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, but one of the advantages to traveling alone is that I don't have to worry about anybody else being affected by whatever the plan is at the moment. And at least in Ireland I speak one of the official languages. I wouldn't have left things so up in the air in India.
