dchenes: (katana)
I want two consecutive days like Saturday.

On Saturday I decided to spend more time elsewhere than at home, and did some other useful stuff too (cashed in $80 in change, bought kitty litter, lunch, new Tevas and miscellaneous groceries, and had a voice lesson). I also learned that sandal designers are going through another period of ignoring people with feet like mine, so it's going to cost me at least one arm to get decent non-Teva sandals. (In addition to being wide, my feet are thick, so the straps going across the front of the sandal have to be either adjustable or long enough to get a thick foot under them. Not happening this year.) The new Tevas make me happy, though. Now I can start working on my Teva tan again.

Yesterday was OK in the productivity department, in that I made it to Cambridge to do errands, but I struck out on all but one of them and yesterday rather sucked in the weather department. I suppose 55 and overcast is better than 40 and raining, but when you want 65 and sunny like it was the day before, 55 and overcast is disappointing. (And cold.)

Speaking of cold, Snip has one. It makes her a very sneezy beast, but she doesn't seem to be bothered by it other than having to sneeze every time her head drops below her shoulders (eating) or rises above her shoulders (getting up from a nap). This is the first time she's had a spontaneous cold in the five and a half years I've had her. All the other times, there's been a stress-related explanation. I don't really want to take her to the vet, because that's one of the things that stresses her out. And if it's allergies, and she gets a stress-related cold besides, that really isn't fair.

I just looked at the calendar and discovered that next week I'm supposed to be at the dentist and in a meeting I can't skip at the same time. I guess I'd better call up the dentist and reschedule.
