dchenes: (katana)
The sun is out and last week is over, so I'm considerably less grumpy nor I was. I had a pretty good weekend, too; came back from Noank with five pounds of beef tenderloin steaks and a meat grinder (the tenderloin was on sale down there, and the meat grinder was my grandmother's and I had said I wanted it about six months ago). And since the sun never came out all weekend, I came back without a sunburn. And I managed to sort out an iTunes problem Dad was having, so now he has all of his madrigals on iTunes and on the iPod Shuffle he's been using. (Mom being deaf in one ear, she hates using headphones. So of course she was the one who ended up with an iPod; her boss gave them out as Xmas presents last year. Dad adopted it.)

Other good stuff: a very funny (and unprintable) story, an hour spent sitting on the dock with feet in the water, an excellent watermelon, an interesting book about the Hatfield-McCoy feud, The Russians are Coming! (but their submarine flexes in the middle because it's made of plywood), and miscellaneous football games. And today isn't actually Monday, no matter how much it feels like it.

Not so good stuff: The pants I bought in the wrong size aren't alterable short of tearing them apart completely, so I have to (remember to) exchange them. And it's time to renew the pet insurance again, so I won't be saving any money this month either. But those are minor problems.
