dchenes: (katana)
I went racing off to work this morning in order to get there at 8:30 to meet the visitors from Tokyo Medical and Dental University. Problem was, the people who were sending them to us screwed up, so the visitors are coming tomorrow, and it was too late to cancel the catering for today. So we're up to our eyebrows in lunch, immediately after being up to our knees in breakfast. I fell off the wagon to the extent of a bottle of grapefruit juice, in between running downstairs to the REB front door to see if the Tokyo people were here yet, running to the ODE office to see if I had email about them, running back upstairs to tell the people waiting that the Tokyo people weren't anywhere, running to the main building front door to see if they were there by accident, etc. And did I mention that yesterday I tweaked my knee by stepping in a pothole?

I am also, again, up to my ears in paper. Eventually it will be next Wednesday and I won't have the blueprint meeting to worry about any more, and the Thing can be honorably retired. (Everybody who sees it thinks it's incredibly cool, so I guess I done good there. I just hope it works for what we want to do with it, and doesn't fall apart completely on the way downstairs.)

Tomorrow I have to get here early, again, to go get some coffee and pastries or something for the Tokyo people who are coming at 9:00. And I have to figure out lunch for them and lunch for another six people who are having a different meeting. And THEN I can order breakfast and lunch for the blueprint meeting, and finish creating the handouts, and print the next three Craniofacial Development cases. I hardly know what I'm going to do with myself after next week.
