Jul. 20th, 2014 03:55 pmYesterday was pretty much exactly what the doctor ordered, in that I got to go swimming in the ocean and hang around with the extended family, but not so much that anybody got to be too much of a good thing. And yesterday ended with a kimchi pancake, which I was previously unaware of but now think I ought to make for myself at least once a week. Apparently it's ridiculously easy. (So are scallion pancakes, but I haven't gotten around to those either.)
Today has been The Day of And. Went grocery shopping AND did two loads of laundry AND boiled a dozen eggs AND did the dishes AND went grocery shopping again AND hauled more kitty litter home. Unfortunately I never got to the fun part of the list, which was Buy sewing machine oil and a yard of muslin so I can play with the new-to-me sewing machine and its box of attachments. I was advised to oil the thing before I used it, and I don't have the right sort of oil.
Since I was in the pet store anyway, and they happened to have bonito flakes on offer as cat treats, I figured I'd try it once. The Hairy Beasts think they smell interesting, but don't seem inclined to eat them. Sigh. Why do I even bother? I should just stick with oatmeal cookies (Lily) and provolone (Snip) by way of cat treats.
