Jun. 11th, 2015 01:59 pmSpent the morning at the eye doctor, which was as thrilling as usual (to wit, not at all). But the new doctor let me put my lenses back in five minutes after the dilating drops went in, so I got to find out that I go farsighted when my eyes dilate with lenses in. That's downright weird, because I've been nearsighted for something like 25 years now and I'm mostly used to that. So here I sit at work, in my sunglasses.
I got back to work just in time for a fire drill. That's twice this year I've managed to do that. Talk about useless superpowers...I'd rather have the one that means I can turn street lights off by walking under them (although I'm not sure that one works with LED street lights, which is what my neighborhood has these days).
Anyway, nothing is wrong with my eyes that wasn't wrong with them last year, but I get to go see the retina specialist in December just because I haven't seen one in several years. Which is good because it means I haven't needed to see one for several years. I wouldn't mind if I never have to have laser retina surgery again.
