Mental health day 1:

Woke up at 8:30ish and lay around reading in bed for half an hour. Got up, fed cats, ate breakfast, cleaned litterbox in bathtub, cleaned bathtub. Went out and bought more kitty litter. (Sounds like a weekend day, so far. But sometimes a mental health day is doing the same things you always do when not at work; it's just that you do them on a day when you would normally be at work.) On the way to get kitty litter, planned out things that are better done on a weekday, versus things that can be done on a weekend. Therefore, this afternoon I'm going to the aquarium and quite possibly Zootopia, and the Boston Public Market just because I haven't been there yet and it's in the general vicinity.

So far I've only had to remind myself to stop thinking about work once.

ETA: No Zootopia, because I spent too long looking at fish. Zootopia on Monday, weather permitting. I started the afternoon by not watching where I was going, twisting an ankle on an uneven piece of sidewalk on Milk St., and falling on my opposite knee. No blood, no foul, and I proceeded on to the aquarium and the Boston Public Market. I managed to get out of the market with only Japanese knotweed honey (good stuff; who knew Japanese knotweed was actually good for anything?), bacon ends, smoked cheese, and ranunculus flowers. Consumed on site: salmon poke, two cider donuts and a chocolate Union Square donut. Next time I go there, I think I'll be investing in ground goat meat and duck eggs, because why not?
