Dec. 8th, 2017 12:09 pmIt's going to snow, so of course all the weather forecasters are playing it up as much as possible (although the most I've heard is six inches, which is nothing to panic about unless it turns into a foot). So I'm leaving work early today to get to TJs before the mad rush. I want apples and tea and cat food, not bread and milk and eggs, but it's the principle of the thing. Except for apples, I'm pretty much set since I've got hardboiled eggs and half a pizza and some hot dogs and sauerkraut and the last of some vegetable soup. Ain't nothing wrong with vegetable soup or cold pizza for breakfast.
Vikings started up again and as much as I don't like it being the "Ivar is a Psychopath" show, I think I might stay with it anyway because some of the other story lines are interesting. I still miss Ragnar, but that's why I bought the DVDs of the first three seasons.
I was hoping to get video of Lily walking around with a pizza crust like a jaguar with a dead antelope, but she didn't do it. I did get her planting a foot on it and chewing on the end, though. She has fewer teeth than she had the last time I ordered pizza, which might have something to do with it. And yes, I did order pizza just so I could watch her being silly. And also slightly so I could have pizza that wasn't left over from a lunch meeting, and therefore had no onions on it and wasn't stone cold and pawed over. Once in a while I like the genuine article, but I'm cheap, so it doesn't happen often (and even less now that Brick House is gone).
The next book of the Expanse is supposedly out as of Monday. I think maybe I'll stick my head in the Brookline Booksmith on the way home, too. And I should remember to put my snowshoes out on the porch when I get home so they can be borrowed at the crack of dawn tomorrow morning without my having to get out of bed.
