In the name of Responsible Adulthood, I filled out amended tax forms and mailed them on Saturday. I wanted to send them return receipt only, but the postal clerk sold me on sending them certified too. I hope they get there, because the postal clerk in question had no fine motor skills at all and tore the sticky sides off one of the return receipts, and tore the postage sticker for the other envelope in half. Lots of packing tape ensued. But at least I can say I did the right thing up to delivering the amended returns to the postal service. Anything that happens to them after that shouldn't be my fault. (Says I. Watch me get audited now...)

Miscellaneous other useful stuff happened on Saturday (flipped the futon mattress, did laundry, took the recycling out), but I never did get around to vacuuming, and I should have. I spent Sunday being a lump, more or less, because it was cold and raining and Sunday tends to be my Don't Wanna day anyway, starting with Don't Wanna put on a bra if I don't gotta go outdoors. But I did split Lily's next bottle of pills, and for some reason I couldn't split the halves evenly. And then at the end I got up to chase Lily off the counter, where she KNOWS she isn't allowed when I'm home, and I knocked over the pill bottle. So I had to find 120 little teeny uneven pill fragments on the table, and on the floor, and in my sweatshirt pocket. At least I found all of them. Lily's lucky she's cute.

Dad's knee surgery went well, but they told him he'd be walking around in three days. Not so much, because there's a lot more pain involved than he was expecting. Grr, argh.

Somebody, name of me, went and drank all my coffee when I wasn't paying attention. I hate it when that happens.
