The unattributed book mystery has been solved. It was my sister, who was incommunicado last week on account of literally climbing a mountain.

I wish I had a brain. Last night I had all sorts of plans about shrimp and herb butter and rice, and unrelated roasted tomatoes. I needed to cook the shrimp because I had transferred them from the freezer to the fridge on Saturday night and didn't get around to them on Sunday night. So I came home and set up the rice cooker, and peeled and deveined and sauteed the shrimp, and then realized I hadn't pushed the button on the rice cooker, so my plan to have cooked rice and cooked shrimp almost at the same time went out the window. I did eventually get cooked rice and cooked shrimp at the same time, but I ate the shrimp at room temperature on top of hot rice. And I forgot to season the tomatoes before I roasted them, but at least I remembered to turn the oven off.

The humidity is back to disgusting again, just in time for a chorus rehearsal day, as usual. Sigh. At least this time I remembered to bring a water bottle with me instead of trying to buy water from a food truck. And I remembered an umbrella, which means it won't rain until midnight and will continue to be disgusting as long as I have to be waiting for public transportation. Ah well, at least I can be up to the neck in the ocean for some of next week. If it's going to be humid, I might as well be up to the neck in the ocean anyway.

The Drama Llama is getting on my last couple of nerves this week. I don't need to be whined at because OSCE is tomorrow and the printer in here isn't listening to him and he can't carry things because his ribs hurt and he needs a plastic shopping bag to bring home half a dozen leftover burritos in. And I know all of this despite having a closed door between my desk and his. Good thing I'm not here for most of next week.
