Snip thought I was trying to poison her with tilapia glop, but she decided salmon glop is edible, so we're at salmon-and-chicken glop for Lily for breakfast, crunchies for Snip for breakfast, chicken glop for Lily for dinner and salmon glop for Snip for dinner. Snip doesn't like poultry, which will keep her out of Lily's breakfast, and she's very much a creature of habit, so she'll probably eat salmon for dinner for the rest of her life now that she's decided to eat it. I would say that was easy, but that would be asking for it, so I didn't say that.

I keep forgetting to haul out the receipt and tracking number I got from the post office when I mailed off my passport for renewal last Friday. However, as of today, the check got cashed, so I assume it got to Philadelphia. Still not sure when I'll get a new passport, but I'm not planning on going anywhere that needs one for at least the next two weeks anyway.

I think I may have found a solution to my scuba gear transport problem, which is that the massive mesh duffel bag leaks when the gear is wet, and I get home with wet pants because of the 20-minute walk home from the T. So what I want, actually, is the backpack version, which is 6" shorter, but has a solid back and a solid bottom. It can leak, but not directly on me. Of course, having just spent $130 on canned cat food earlier today and having discovered that the sweater I'm wearing has a hole in the left elbow and is no longer suitable for work, I had maybe better suffer with the duffel bag for another week or so. I do get paid this week, though.

Also good, I think I figured out why I was getting a really sore left shoulder every day at about 2:30. It seems the left armrest on my chair was half an inch lower than the right armrest. Having evened them out last week, it's much better. I still get a sore shoulder, but usually around 3:30 or 4:00, and not to the point of it interfering with whatever else I'm trying to think about.

Not hugely looking forward to chorus rehearsal, followed by committee meeting, followed by coming home in the snow at 11:00 if the rehearsal doesn't end early to allow for the meeting. But I'm reserving my one "skip chorus because I don't feel like going" for March, when I know there will be a week when I really don't feel like going.
