And here I am, stuck in the middle between the students who want to see their grades, the registrar who won't release the grades until 95% of the students submit the course survey, and the students who won't submit the course survey. I am responsible for making the survey available and telling the students when it's due by. Everything subsequent to that is Not My Circus, thank you very much, despite the registrar trying to make it my circus. And one of the three courses in question ended in late March, so good luck getting any surveys for it in mid-May. The other two had surveys due last Friday.

Never mind. Anyway, I went home at lunchtime yesterday on account of feeling generally awful (no appetite at all, and mentally miserable, and just not feeling it, regardless of what "it" was). I had to wait half an hour for the bus, but I did it in the sunshine and that helped some, and then I had a nap for an hour or so when I got home and that helped some too. I also set off the feline This Ain't Right alarm, which they respond to by snuggling up with me, if not on me, and turning on the serious purring. I can't say being Purred At helped, but I can't say it didn't, either.

I did invest in some new peonies on Monday night. The first round was pale pink; this round is half magenta and half greenish white with magenta edges. So far this round isn't as enthusiastic as the last one, but at least they're there to be appreciated whether they're enthusiastic or not.

New bathing suit arrived yesterday, but I haven't tried it yet. Maybe some year I'll talk to the dive shop about using a rash guard as an underlayer instead. But not now.
