I spent most of the weekend offline, which was good for my morale if nothing else. While I was offline, I did things like take the trash out and embroider and finish re-reading a book and give the vacuum cleaner beater bar a haircut (which it needed desperately) and vacuum all the rugs.

Yesterday I went to Trader Joe's for the first time in three weeks. I stood in line outside for 20 minutes, but the line did move pretty well. Unfortunately I got flustered by the availability of milk, and bought some, and maxed out the weight I was willing to carry before I remembered I wanted some other things that had actually been on the list. And with the current system, forgetting something and going back for it is another half hour standing in line. That'll learn me to stick to the list.

Tonight I should go to Whole Foods for seltzer and some of the staples I missed yesterday. And then I won't need to go shopping again for another two or three weeks.

Part of the problem with this whole thing is it's Schroedinger's virus (idea stolen from FB). You have it and don't know you have it, so act like you do and you're infecting everyone, but at the same time you don't have it, so act like you don't and everyone can infect you. Which is probably why I've talked myself out of going to more than one grocery store per day on a shopping week.

I've discovered that by the end of the week I am sick of looking at myself on Zoom calls (mostly I'm tired of being reminded that yes, I am fat), so I don't turn the video on unless I'm supposed to contribute to the conversation. At least I sorted things out on Friday and went into the weekend not wanting to kill somebody.
