Apr. 27th, 2020 11:16 amI'm asking for Friday "off", because this coming weekend is a grocery weekend and I need to do some fairly serious spring cleaning, and it will be easier if I can spread all that over three days. It would be lovely if one of those three days could be sunny, so I could see the floors to wash them, but that would be wishful thinking.
Still March (still 45, and raining again). It's been March for four months. If we had more nice days, people would get used to them and maybe not all be outdoors at the same time in the same places. But as it is, we're stuck in eternal March, which is my least favorite month to begin with. I'm starting to wonder if it will be worth going out for my birthday in July even if we're allowed to go out by then. It feels like it's going to be March until November.
Lily came trying to be friendly the minute I stepped out of the shower this morning, and got dripped on, and proceeded to be severely put out about it for the next ten minutes until she got distracted by the appearance of breakfast. Apparently dipping her tail in the tub is OK as long as she doesn't realize it's getting wet, but being dripped on is not. Silly beast.
The postdoc CODA reports went back to Cambridge this morning. I hope they come back again signed this time. But if they come on Friday, they can sulk until Monday, so there.
