Jan. 14th, 2021 09:24 amToday could be Friday and I wouldn't mind at all, but I forgot we had Monday off, so I can't complain too much. But any week that involves two high-stress meetings on Tuesday makes for a long week.
I want the vaccine, dammit. I want it yesterday. I want to be able to see my parents in person for the first time since Christmas 2019. I want to get my teeth cleaned for the first time in at least a year. I want to knock down the walls of this one-person bubble and go out and do things and not think about risk factors. But I'm going to be the last person in my immediate family to get vaccinated, so I might be able to see my parents in July. Maybe by May or June or whenever Massachusetts says I can finally get vaccinated, I can get the single dose J&J instead of one of the two-dose versions. At this point I don't care, just give me the damn vaccine!
I got my 15-year Harvard anniversary luggage set yesterday. I'm not sure why a smallish duffel bag needs a handle and wheels, unless I'm trying to carry diving weights in it. Which is a thought, actually, if I ever buy my own weights from the dive shop. I could get them home in that bag. But the other four pieces (two suitcases, a small laptop case/briefcase and a toiletries case) look like they could be useful and not fall apart after the first use. I would love to be able to go somewhere that requires a suitcase.
