Today was one of those days when I sat down at 9:00 this morning, got into what I was doing, looked up and it was 12:47. So I trundled off for lunch, came back, sat down again, got into another project, looked up and it was 5:03. Busy is good, and I think I'm mostly doing things right, even if I might not be doing them in quite the right order.

I wish I had been able to hear more of the choruses yesterday. Mostly what I heard was the alto part, the bass part and the last chords when they rang off the ceiling. The last chords sounded good, anyway, and the audience seemed to think it was good. I wonder what the Messiah would sound like sung by a double quartet and soloists? It would be easier to hear each other that way.

Hmm... Messiah by eight?

It wouldn't be the resounding jump-to-your-feet that it tends to be with full chorus, and some of the passages can be a little long for breath if you're not careful with only one other for note coverage...

But I could see it. (Or hear it, as the case may be.)
