dchenesI'm working on a fairly large archiving/filing project while I wait for the stuff I'm really working on to come back from review. The archive folders have to be labeled in pencil, so I went and got a pencil out of the general office supplies stash, and was happily labeling things, up until the pencil disappeared. I proceeded to tear my cube apart looking for the thing, finally gave up, muttered something about probably having filed it by accident, and got another pencil.
As it turned out, I was using the wrong sort of folders. So I got the right sort, and was swapping the contents out of the wrong ones, and found my pencil. Apparently I had indeed filed it. That amuses me for some reason.
Sixteen roses apiece for everybody in the office (including me) just appeared. This place doesn't do holidays by halves. It's a good thing this week isn't any longer, or I'd get overwhelmed. (I haven't done anything much yet, and I'm getting showered with appreciation anyway, and I find it somewhat odd.)
Oh well. Better to be overappreciated than be treated like office furniture. :)
