weather or not

dchenesSomehow I don't think the sun is going to oblige me and come out at 11:30 so I can finally get the picture of the light in my bedroom. I could've done it yesterday had the camera battery not been absolutely dead. I was hoping, because it's not supposed to snow until this afternoon, but oh well. There's always tomorrow and Monday.
I don't really mind if the weather wants to be cold; after all, it's winter. I do, however, object to being indoors at home and cold, which I was yesterday. Every so often there will be a day, or a couple of days in a row, when the heat comes on enough to keep my bed from being an ice cube when I get in it, and then it goes back to being cold, and I wish it wouldn't. Oh well. Come about four months from now, it won't be a problem so much any more.
I ended up seeing Memoirs of a Geisha last night, on the theory that it will probably disappear first. I've read the book several times, so I was basically watching the movie for the scenery, which was quite pretty. I have a couple of nitpicks, but they're mostly because my suspension of disbelief slipped a couple of times.
It's slightly early, but Happy New Year, anyway.
