Mar. 3rd, 2003 10:25 amSaturday: Took the Bloodthirsty Jungle Demons to the vet. They seemed to like being taken in the carrier on foot, although my shoulders didn't like it at all. Anyway, the kittens are all fine, and growing like mad. Combined, we've got about 11 lb. of cats. The afternoon consisted of errands, and a trip to the Allston Branch Library. I'd gotten to the point where I kept looking at books in bookstores and saying "I'd like to read that, but I don't need to own it", which is what libraries are for, right?
Sunday: Dim sum, in the rain. I highly recommend the Emperor's Garden on Washington St. in Chinatown, for anybody in the Boston area who likes dim sum. Following that, we came home and I made a spinach lasagna which didn't quite come out the way I meant, but is perfectly edible anyway. Other than that, yesterday consisted of a lot of hanging around reading books and being rained at.
Today, so far, has sucked diseased donkeys. I just don't care about any of the stupid petty insignificant little time-wasting administrative details that everybody else seems to regard as being of life-threatening importance. This is not a good thing, since about 95% of my job lately seems to be attending to stupid petty insignificant little time-wasting administrative details, most of them in broken English.
I wish it were spring. Then I could at least go outside and walk off some of the reservoir of annoyed/depressed/cynical/bitter/unhappy that seems to be building up.
