what day is it, again?

dchenesToday is a "waiting for email" day. I'm waiting for people to get back to me about committee meetings. It makes for a fairly boring day if there's nothing else going on, and at least for the moment, there's nothing else going on (subject to change without notice, of course).
Yesterday I had all sorts of fun tearing apart packets for the Council of Academic Deans meeting, replacing one page in the middle, and putting them back together again. Apparently May is a bad month for meetings this year; this one seems to have been as much of a pain to put together as the SOP meeting was. (I don't know for certain, because it's not usually my meeting to deal with.)
I've hit the point where I absolutely have to practice the trombone more than I am. My lesson last night was embarrassing.
Speaking of annoying the neighbors, I wonder why NStar thought it was a good idea to start jackhammering on Gardner St. around dinnertime last night and keep right on doing it until at least 8:30?
I woke up this morning knowing it was Tuesday, but about an hour ago, for some reason, I decided it was Friday. My brain is now sulking because I convinced it otherwise.
