Only Tuesday?
Jun. 20th, 2006 11:23 amI asked a simple question on Friday, which has now turned into a mess. (Not my fault, and if we could have done what I suggested, it would have been fine; however, Things Don't Work That Way, so it's a mess, and I'm more or less coping with it.)
An hour later:
I've got my work for the next month cut out for me, if I can only get any of it started in the first place. (Five more committees to meet before September. One of them should be easy, and two of the others are going to take some doing.)
I slept better last night than the night before, but I still had odd dreams. Two nights ago I dreamed that I was trying to put up a tension shower curtain rod, and every time I got both ends up, it fell apart in the middle. Every time I got the middle put back together, one end or the other would fall down. (Which is exactly what's been happening with one of my committees, so no wonder I'm dreaming about it.) I don't remember exactly what I dreamed last night, but it was something along the same lines.
I wouldn't mind if it wanted to be naptime, but it doesn't want to, so I can't.
PS: Over last weekend, the man with the Huge Mahonkin Ladder came and replaced about 10 fluorescent lightbulbs, thereby making the ones above my desk stop with the ()&@#&%*(^ FLICKERING, already, and also making it a lot brighter in here. This is a good thing, but it's odd.
