dchenesIt's absolutely ridiculous how happy it makes me to know I'll have enough clean underwear to last the next couple of weeks. For once the basement door is open, and nobody else is doing laundry, so I am.
I done gone went and got bit by materialism again, but now I have a laptop bag I can live with. Thank you, Eddie Bauer outlet, 20% sale, and tax-free weekend! The neoprene sleeve idea is just dandy, but for some reason, putting the computer, in sleeve, on its end in my ATA conference bag made me nervous. So now I have a bag I can put the computer in, in a direction that doesn't make me nervous. Besides, this is about as close as I've ever come to having a bag I can put a computer and a bottle of shampoo in at the same time and not worry about whether the twain shall meet.
Last night I finished the Civ 4 game I'd been working on all week. I played with 2 opponents and the barbarians, on purpose, because the Moose is just the other side of too old for this game; it runs like molasses when things get complicated. Anyway, I could have had a diplomatic victory in about 1950, but the game ended in 1965 because I didn't want to waste the perfectly good spaceship parts I was building. I still have to figure out what to do with religions and Great People.
I should quit typing and go figure out what to do with the stuff I have to cook today.
