I was on the way down to the bus stop when I heard a squirrel cussing somebody out, so I started looking around for it. I wish I'd had my camera, because the squirrel was cussing out the local feral cat, who was watching another squirrel who was hanging onto the side of a house just out of the cat's jumping range, and really trying to pretend it was invisible. I could practically see the captions:
Cat: Hmm, lunch. Now how do I get up there? Maybe if I wait long enough, it'll fall off...
Squirrel: Can't go down. Can't go sideways, nothing to hang onto. Can't go up. Well, fuck. I'm not here, I'm a fuzzy piece of siding, quit staring at me and go away!
I had to keep walking because I wanted to get to where I was going, but I do sort of wish I knew how it all worked out.
