The day is just fine, too, weather-wise. Work-wise, it's a little less than entirely useful, because I'm running around like mad trying to send out meeting packets before the long weekend (as usual). Some day there will be a long weekend that doesn't have a meeting on the other side of it.
I'm being grumpy about work because P&R has taken over the world again, and I feel like everything I need is going to be last-minute. It'll get better, but I don't really like running around like mad just because I couldn't get anybody to give me the stuff I needed.

Well, that was exciting. We left the fire-escape door open because it's nice out, and a starling flew in and couldn't find its way out again. I ducked so hard I gave myself whiplash. The bird did finally get out, which is nice for all concerned.
