that'll teach me...
May. 13th, 2007 11:05 amMemo to self: the next time you need to buy DMC embroidery floss, bring the label from the current skein with you. I bought a skein of 3756 that was considerably lighter than the one I had been using. Not helpful, much.
I also bought 9 skeins of 111 all at the same time and ended up with three different dye lots, two of which are considerably lighter than the one I started with. 7 skeins of one dye lot and one each of two others. Next time I bring the label with me and make sure the fonts used for the numbers match (that seems to be how DMC distinguishes between dye lots).
GRR. (Speaking of GRR, why can't a store that's open on Sundays carry 111? Pearl Arts doesn't have any, and Winmil Fabrics doesn't have any, and Windsor Button is closed on Sundays, and I'm not about to take a bus practically all the way up to Burlington on a weekend to go to Michael's or AC Moore or whatever the huge craft store up there is.)
