flat out

Today was something of a mess. Having 11 final meetings between tomorrow and June 26 will do that. I think I've got all 11 packets mostly put together now, but I can't really keep track of more than 9 at once. After that I start getting confused. And the May SOP meeting is tomorrow afternoon and I'm still missing four of eight reports. And it would kinda help if we had a reviewer for the committee meeting on Friday, and more letters for the packet for the meeting on Thursday.

So, yeah. Flat out. And since it was Monday, I didn't get a break today either. L went for hers, and I started a project to keep me occupied for an hour while I babysat the phone. I underestimated the time it was going to take me, though, and it turned into an hour and a half of project. That got me to 2:00 and I was just getting ready to go when my boss got back from lunch and unleashed the "wait a minute, we don't have a reviewer for the Friday meeting!" mess. So I dealt with that as much as I could while copying the Friday packets (and unjamming the copier six times), and then M produced some of the letters for the Thursday meeting and wanted the whole packet, so I put that together, and then had to go deliver the Friday packets to three different hospitals, and then it was 4:30 and there was no point to my taking a break anyway.

See, this sort of thing is why I haven't called the doctor about my ear yet. I just don't have two minutes to rub together.

And then I got home and found a form letter from the government, claiming my loan consolidation application wasn't complete and therefore wasn't processed. I have no idea what information they think I didn't give them. The online form didn't yell at me for leaving anything blank that I shouldn't have left blank. Sigh.

If I hadn't had ice cream on the way home, it would be a two-beer night.
