technology hates me, again

I am quite ready for this week to be over with, thank you. Among the copier problems, printer problems, multiple overlapping meetings, new staff members, commencement (which makes it very hard to get anywhere on campus due to the enormous tents all over the place), and the fact that I am now the only senior promotions staff assistant out of the three of us who knows which end is up, it's being a very long week. I don't mind answering questions for the new people, but I do object to answering several flavors of the same question from the same person over the course of five minutes. "Yes, I need the originals of those letters. No, I don't need the copies. Yes, give me the file. Yes, with the original letters in it. No, I don't care if the file also has copies in it..." Et cetera, while I'm trying to argue the copier into giving me two presentable sets of copies. The copier has developed a nifty trick of crumpling up several pages in its innards, or shooting them out crooked so they jam up in the output tray. It's impossible to predict which one it's going to do, so you have to stand there and hit Stop the minute it makes any unusual noises.
Meanwhile, we're having some sort of network connectivity problem between my computer and almost every printer in the place (except one, fortunately). We're also having problems between everybody else's computers and one particular printer. Our network admin can't figure it out; he's been trying since Monday and it refuses to play nice. Meanwhile everybody's printing to the same printer, which backs up the queue something fierce.
I sort of wish I had a legitimate excuse to take tomorrow off. What I have got are three extremely important and time-consuming things that must get done at work tomorrow. At least tomorrow is Friday.
