In France, today is the feast day of St. Sylvestre, and everybody goes out for dinner, and the restaurants have a special St. Sylvestre menu. I'm inclined to get dressed up and take myself out for dinner tonight, but I haven't the foggiest idea where. All of the Really Highbrow places are out of my budget. So where's reasonably cheap (as in, under $65 for one person) and reasonably good and not likely to be absolutely booked already?

Have you considered the Tapas place near you? That would be good and under 65 for one person.

If you find that you are at loose ends and want to come hang out, give me a buzz. Halleyscomet and I have no plans except for maybe a movie or two and the slow cooker pot roast that I should really start in the next hour.

I'd go with you -- what about some place like The Elephant Walk? There's a bistro downtown too that might actually have fare for St. Sylvestre.
