dchenesI'm not terribly superstitious, except for one thing. I believe quite strongly in Lucky Rocket Ship Underpants, a la Calvin and Hobbes.
I had a pair of lucky rocket ship underpants (well, they actually had roses on them, but the idea was still there) that went over to the Dark Side last winter. Every time I wore them, something went horribly wrong. I threw them out and eventually things got better.
My current pair is red, and only good on weekends. If I wear them on a weekday, about half the time something goes horribly wrong. I don't know how it works, or why it works, but it does. I have yet to have a bad weekend while wearing them.
Laugh if you like, but there you are. I suppose there are worse things to be irrational about.
