the sap is rising

(and no, that does not refer to the fact that I got out of bed today. It probably should, though.)

Anyway, I think the sap is rising because Lily has been Dapalong Catsidy for the past couple of days. If it moves, she wants to chase it; if it doesn't, she wants to make it move. I need to buy some more ping-pong balls, because she'll wear herself right out chasing them if I throw one for her (and therefore leave my ankles/my hands/my embroidery/the computer cord/the carpet alone).

On top of that, my desire to cook and sew and draw and sing and create things is coming back again.

Would any costumers reading this be interested in collaborating with me on a masquerade costume for next year's Arisia? I have an idea, but I lack the sewing skills to make it work.

Huge and very much dependant on life changes maybe on the costuming project. On the other hand, I will need reasons to have time out of the house and away from baby or I will go stark raving nutters.

It is spring!! We saw yellow crocuses (croci?) the other day, and snowdrops. And today we saw a hairy woodpecker on the tree in the back yard. Wheeee.
