dchenesI started the evening with one pot of jade plant, consisting of two straightish stalks, one forked stalk (one fork of which was growing straight sideways), and one stalk that was growing in any old direction it felt like. Minor tree surgery and fairly major playing in the mud ensued.
I now have seven pots of jade plant, three of which are being supported upright by chopsticks so that maybe they'll get the idea. I also have two broken-off leaves I stuck in extra pots. I put four of the seven plants in what was an excellent jade-growing window when I lived here before, and I hope at least two of them survive.
I don't like to use blunt bamboo chopsticks for eating with all that much, but having a mess of them around certainly does come in handy. I've used them to make impromptu chicken-roasting racks, too.
Lily got into her carrier of her own free will and seems to be falling asleep in it. I've never seen her do that before.
