why I wanted a three-day weekend

Well, that's better. Since 8:00 this morning I have:

- Scrubbed the bathtub, bathroom sink, and toilet
- Cleaned the bedroom and bathroom mirrors
- Put up a new shower curtain liner
- Taken a shower
- Vacuumed the rugs
- Put away the clean laundry
- Put away all the books that either didn't have homes already or weren't in the right bookshelves
- Washed all the bath towels, junk towels and dishtowels
- Swept the floors
- Cleaned the kitchen counters
- Cleaned the table
- Started straightening up my office
- Started organizing the pantry
- Had lunch

I'm not done with the list yet, but that's a pretty good dent to have put in it.
